If there were ever a day like today again
I'd ask if you're wearing your goggles of forgiveness
because our lives
have become mires of deviation
and reaching backwards always takes one off balance.
So I never did.
Well then, I think it is time I found my old wetsuit
secured a splendid and elegant dive
and followed the wake you left behind.
